(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking direction to the respondents to extend the period of parole forthwith for four weeks, as the petitioner is suffering from diabetes mellitus and Tuber Colosis and under treatment at Sant Niwas, Near Civil Hospital, Mahilpur, Distt. Hoshiarpur.

On a query being put to learned counsel for the petitioner whether the petitioner had approached the Jail authorities for extension of period of parole, the reply was in the negative. After arguing for sometime, it was prayed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he may be allowed to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to first approach the jail authorities for extension of period of parole. 3.

Dismissed as withdrawn. It shall, however, be open to the petitioner to take recourse to the remedies as may be available to him, in accordance with law.
