In this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a direction to the respondents to pay compensation to him as per award dated 11.5.2015 (Annexure P-1).

The land of the petitioner as well as other co-sharers situated in village Harsaru, District Gurgaon was acquired by the respondents vide award dated 29.6.2008, for the development of Gurgaon Urban Estate. They filed an application under Section 28-A(2) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 before respondent No.2 on the basis of award dated 8.1.2013 passed by the Additional District Judge, Gurgaon. Respondent No.2 allowed the application vide award dated 11.5.2015 (Annexure P-1). The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 15.5.2015 (Annexure P-2) to respondent No.4 for release of compensation, but no response has been received till date. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that for the relief claimed in the writ petition, the petitioner has moved a representation dated 15.5.2015 (Annexure P-2) to respondent No.4, but no action has so far been taken thereon.

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, perusing the present petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we dispose of the present petition by directing respondent No.4 to decide the representation dated 15.5.2015 (Annexure P-2), in accordance with law by passing a speaking order and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. It is further directed that in case it is found that the petitioner is entitled to the amount of compensation, the same be paid to him within next 15 days in accordance with law.
