(ORAL) Feeling aggrieved against the alleged inaction on the part of respondent authorities, the petitioners have approached this Court, by way of instant writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are seeking a writ of Mandamus but without approaching respondent authorities by way of an appropriate representation. He further submits that given an opportunity, petitioners shall approach the competent authority, i.e. Registrar General, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh-respondent No.1 by moving an appropriate representation within a period of four weeks from today and he may be directed to consider and decide their representation, within a reasonable time.

Civil Writ Petition No. 14802 of 2014 Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, lest it should prejudice the rights of either of the parties, the Registrar General, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh-respondent No.1 is directed that if the petitioners approach him by moving an appropriate representation within a period of four weeks from today, he shall consider and decide the same at an early date by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly in accordance with law, but in any case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioners.

With the abovesaid observations made and directions issued, present petition stands disposed of.
