The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 2 to 4 to protect life, liberty and property of the petitioner and his family members from the hands of respondents No. 5 to 9.

After arguing for some time, counsel for the petitioner submits that he be permitted to file a representation taking all the present pleas in addition to further pleas before the concerned Commissioner of Police. 3.
Let the petitioner represent the concerned Commissioner of Police, within a week. If the petitioner files a representation with in the above-mentioned time period, the concerned Commissioner of Police decide the same immediately without any waste of time and certainly not later than three or four days either himself/herself or by authorizing and delegating it to any officer holding IPS cadre. It is clarified that such order must be a reasoned order, and the same be communicated to the representationists without delay.

Liberty reserved to the petitioner to file fresh petition or to take other legal remedies in accordance with the law.

It is clarified that there is no adjudication on merits. It is further clarified that this order shall not come in the way if the interrogation of the petitioner is required in any cognizable case.
6. It is further clarified that in case, protection has already been granted then shall stay in force only for three days and shall eclipse automatically thereafter without any further reference to this Court.
