Through the instant petition, the petitioners seek quashing/ setting aside of the second inquiry report dated 02.03.2021 (Annexure P4), whereby, the respondent No.4 has recommended cancellation of the cross-case bearing DDR No.39 dated 11.08.2020 (Annexure P-2), in FIR No.110 dated 07.08.2020 (Annexure P-1), registered at P.S. Hariana, District Hoshiarpur. In addition, the petitioners also seek issuance of directions upon respondent No.6 to conclude the investigation in crosscase (supra), and, to submit the Final Report under Section 173 of the Cr.P.C.

Today, the learned State counsel has, on instructions imparted to him by the official concerned, informed this Court that a Cancellation Report has already been filed before the learned Illaqa DEVINDER YADAV 2024.03.05 17:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

In view of the intimation (supra), this Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter, and, to grant the asked for relief at this stage. Consequently, the instant petition is dismissed. However, liberty is reserved to the petitioners to, in case their grievance yet survives, avail the appropriate statutory alternative remedy(ies), raising therein all the pleas and claims, as raised herein before this Court.
