PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) Petitioners herein pray for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 28th of March, 2016 (Annexure P-5) passed by respondent No.2 whereby the names of the petitioner as also other salesmen of the merged societies stand deleted from the seniority list. Further prayer is for issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to draw the seniority list afresh.

Affidavit of Amandeep Singh, Law Officer, The Punjab State Cooperative Supply & Marketing Federation Ltd. has been filed today in Court, which is taken on record. As per the same it has been submitted that the impugned seniority list is no more in force and a fresh seniority list has DEEPAK KUMAR 2023.05.31 13:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-13309-2016 -22023:PHHC:078505 been casted which has been placed on record as Annexure R-1. It has been further averred that on the basis of fresh seniority list promotions have been made. So much so petitioners No.3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 stand promoted as Assistant Field Officers.

In view thereof counsel for the petitioners submits that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous. 4.
Accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed off as having been rendered infructuous.

However liberty is granted to the petitioners to file writ petition afresh in case they have any grievance against fresh seniority list or against the order(s) of promotion.
