Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was convicted by the trial Court. The offence for which he was convicted does not fall in the category of heinous crime under Clause (a) (b) (c) of Rule 3.1 of 2013 policy. After completion of 14 years of sentence including remission, he has become entitled to pre mature release and a representation to this effect was made to the respondents which has not been decided, so far.
Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondents to look into the representation of petitioner Annexure P-3 and dispose of the same within a period of three months on receipt the copy of this order.
