(ORAL) Prayer in the instant Criminal Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for appointment of Warrant Officer, to search detenue Manpreet Kaur W/o Jagroop Singh, allegedly in the illegal confinement of respondents No. 4 to 8.

Ms. Jasleel Kaur, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No. 4 to 8 and filed her 'Vakalatnama' in Court today. Manpreet Kaur-detenue is present in person in Court today along with her father Harpal Singh-respondent No. 4. Therefore, no question arises of her illegal detention by respondents No. 4 to 8. In view of above, the instant Criminal Writ Petition being meritless is dismissed.
