(Oral) The petitioner has sought the extension of two years' service on account of being handicapped as per the directions issued in CWP No. 7233 of 2010 decided on 25.05.2011, Bhupinder Singh vs. State of Punjab and others. The interim benefit was given to the petitioner on 16.10.2012 (in CWP No. 20794 of 2012) and on 30.10.2012 (in CWP No. 21437 of 2012). It is not disputed that the judgment of Bhupinder Singh's case (supra) was upheld in the LPA and thereafter, by the Apex Court. CWP No. 20794 of 2012 Counsel for the petitioner submits that in the meantime, the petitioners have also retired after reaching the age of 60 years. Resultantly, both the writ petitions are disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. It is made clear that the State shall not recover any amount from the petitioner.
