The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to official respondents to register FIR against private respondents No.4 to 7 and to investigate the matter in accordance with law in a time bound manner. 2.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that although the complainant had submitted an application dated 1.7.2020 (Annexure P-12) to The Director General of Police, Punjab Police, Chandigarh but no action has been taken thereupon.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and have also perused the application dated 1.7.2020 (Annexure P-12), the gist of which pertains to allegation to the effect that respondent No.4-Rahul Attri had contracted another marriage despite the fact that the marriage of petitioner and Rahul PANKAJ KAKKAR 2020.11.27 18:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
( 2 ) CRM-M-30037-2020 (O&M) was still in subsistence. The aforesaid allegations would constitute a noncognizable offence and, as such, this Court does not deem it appropriate to issue any direction as prayed for. The petition, as such, is dismissed. 4.
However, the petitioner would be at liberty to have recourse to other alternate, efficacious remedies including filing of a criminal complaint before the Court concerned, if so advised.
