Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab. *** Mr. Gurinder Singh Hayer, Advocate has appeared on behalf of respondent no.3-Ram Singh by filing a memo of appearance. ASI Sadhu Singh from Police Station Kotfatta, Bhatinda has brought Veerpal Kaur and Yadwindcr Singh to the Court. Veerpal Kaur has stated that she and her minor son Yadwinder Singh were being maltreated by her husband Ram Singh as such she does not want to return to the matrimonial home. Yadwinder Singh stated to be about 13 years has stated that he wants to go with his mother and does not want to live with his father. Both of them stated that they are presently residing with Jaspreet Singh-petitioner.

The purpose of filing writ petition and issuance of direction therein was to ensure that Veerpal Kaur and Yadwinder Singh were not illegally detained by Ram Singh. Since they have been got released and are stated to be residing with the petitioner Jaspreet Singh, no further action in this matter is required to be taken. Petitioner Jaspreet Singh, Veerpal Kaur and Yadwinder Singh may avail Parvinder Singh 2017.09.

CRWP No. 916 of 2017 of remedies available to them under the law for redressal of their grievance against respondent no.3, if so advised.
