Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab. Mr. Ajay Pal Singh, Advocate for respondent no.3. *** The alleged detenue Daljit Kaur @ Jeewan Kumari has appeared in the Court. She has stated that she was being illegally detained by Gurmeet Singh, her second husband, arrayed as respondent no.3 in this case and she was got freed by the police party. These allegations are controverted by learned counsel appearing for respondent no. 3 stating that she had been residing in the house of Gurmeet Singh of her own and there is no question of her being illegaly detailed by Gurmeet Singh there. He has further contended that litigation between Daljit Kaur @ Jeewan Kumari and Gurmeet Singh is pending. However, without going into that aspects since Daljit Kaur @ Jeewan Kumari has come present in the Court and she is a major, she is set at liberty. The petitioner and respondent no. 3 may seek the remedies available to them in law separately. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
