(ORAL) The grievance which is being raised by the petitioner in the present writ petition is that though the provident fund amounting to `16,67,437/- was allowed in favour of the petitioner, vide letter dated 12.09.2018 (Annexure P-3), but the said amount was only credited in the account of the petitioner on 06.05.2019 i.e. approximately after a period of nine months.

Counsel for the petitioner argues that for the said period of nine months, petitioner is entitled for interest keeping in view the settled principle of law settled by a Full Bench of this Court in A.S. Randhawa Vs. State of Punjab and others, 1997(3) SCT 468. CWP-17947-2019 -2representation dated 12.05.2019 (Annexure P-5) to the respondents, which is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said representation. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the representation dated 12.05.2019 (Annexure P-5) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
