ARUN PALLI, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the appellants submits that the matter in issue is squarely covered by an order and judgment, dated 02.03.2009, rendered by this Court in RFA No. 3004 of 2006 (Surjit Singh v. State of Punjab and another) and other connected matters, vide which this Court had enhanced the compensation awarded to the claimant/landowners to Rs.19,85,700/- per acre. And further in the appeals preferred against the said decision, the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 331 of 2014, titled "Paramjit Panag and others v. State of Punjab", and other connected matters, vide order and judgment dated 15.01.2014, had further enhanced the compensation by Rs. 2,00,000/- per acre, over and above the amount assessed and awarded by this Court. Therefore, he submits that this appeal too is required to be disposed of in terms of the decision of this Court in the case of Surjit Singh (supra) and the order and judgment dated 15.01.2014 Prashant Kapoor 2017.08.10 16:52 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
RFA-734-2007 (O&M) rendered by the Supreme Court in the case of Paramjit Panag (supra). The factual position, as set out above, is not disputed by the learned State counsel. That being so, this appeal is disposed of in terms of the decision of this Court in the case of Surjit Singh (supra) and the order and judgment dated 15.01.2014 rendered by the Supreme Court in the case of Paramjit Panag (supra).
