**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J. (ORAL) The limited prayer for which the petitioner has come up before this Court is to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioner and his family members at the hands of respondents No. 5 to 20.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner's evidence is fixed for 05.09.2022 and he is under extreme intimidation from the complainant side, as such, he is afraid to go without police protection. Learned State counsel submits that there would be no objection to grant protection to the petitioner on the date of evidence. For that purpose, the State shall provide security to the petitioner from one day prior to the date of recording of his evidence and till the time he returns to the home without taking any break on the way.

Given such statement, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to file a fresh petition if need arises. It shall be open for the petitioner to contact the concerned SSP/SHO apprising them of this order. In case, they do not provide such security then it shall be viewed strictly by this Court.
