The petitioner remained unrepresented on the last date of hearing, which resulted in this Court directing the Registry to inform his counsel about the next date of hearing, i.e. today. Moreover, it was specifically observed that no request for adjournment shall be entertained today. However, despite learned counsel for the petitioner having been informed by the Registry, through e-mail, about today's hearing, none has caused representation on behalf of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is a workman, hence in order to protect his interest, let court notice be issued to him.

As per the office report, the petitioner expired on 30.06.2024. No steps have been taken by his legal representative(s) to be impleaded or substituted, or to continue the proceedings. Consequently, the instant writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
