Jaswant Singh, J By filing the instant writ petition, the petitioner, who was appointed as Class-IV employee (Peon) in the department of Excise and Taxation, Punjab on compassionate ground vide order dated 05.7.2007, has sought for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and appoint him as Clerk (Class III) being terrorist effected person w.e.f 05.7.2007. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the writ petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
