**** RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK J. (ORAL) Petitioner is feeling aggrieved against the attachment of his property by the District Manager-cum-District Controller, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Sangrur. However, neither the said order of attachment is under challenge nor copy thereof has been placed on record. During the course of hearing, it has transpired that petitioner is a partner in the partnership firm namely M/s Jagowal Rice Mills. Annexure P-1 shows that one half share of the property owned by the petitioner was attached against the outstanding quantity of 1561.57 quintals of rice. It seems that rice was supplied to the firm of the petitioner by the District Manager-cum-District Controller, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Sangrur, for milling purpose. When the partnership firm of the petitioner did not supply the requisite quantity of milled rice to the department, property AMIT KUMAR 2016.07.15 12:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document of the petitioner has been attached.

CWP No. 13618 of 2016 In the absence of any challenge to the order passed by the competent authority, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the present petition which lacks in particulars and material. The writ petition is wholly misconceived and the same is hereby dismissed, however, liberty is granted to the petitioner to pursue his remedy, in accordance with law.
