On 15.05.2023, this Court has passed the following order:- "Aggrieved by the order dated 01.07.2016, whereby the order granting sanction to respondent no.3 to fill up the post of the Accounts Officer, Zila Parishad, Mansa, has been withdrawn, the present petition has been filed. In the written statement, the Zila Parishad has filed an affidavit submitting that as per the service rules, there is no post of the Accounts Officer. Hence, the petitioner has no right to continue.

Learned counsel representing the petitioner admits that the new service rules are being prepared. He also admits that in CWP-9240- 2023 titled as 'Hardeep Singh and another vs. State of Punjab and another' decided on 05.05.2023, the State has DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2023.05.19 10:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

2023:PHHC:071502 Civil Writ Petition No. 13684 of 2016 given an undertaking to take decision within a period of one month.

Faced with the aforesaid situation, the learned counsel representing the petitioner prays for a short accommodation to get complete instructions, before assisting the Court. List on 17.05.2023, in the urgent list."

The learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that he has no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the undertaking. However, he submits that if in the new service rules, a post of Accounts Officer exists in the Zila Parishad, the petitioner's claim for the same may be considered by the government.

The learned State counsel has stated that as and when the rules are framed, the government will take an appropriate action in accordance with law.

With the observations made above, the present writ petition is disposed of.
