( Through Video Conferencing ) **** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) In this petition, the prayer of the petitioner is for protection of his life and liberty, which according to the petitioner is under threat at the hands of respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that the petitioner is not involved in any case and he is being harassed by the police on the ground that one Vijay, who is related to him, is required in some case,. Learned counsel for the petitioner further argues that whereabouts of said Vijay are being asked from the petitioner by calling him to the police station and that too without following the due procedure and on one

-2occasion, he was also beaten to elicit the information regarding the location of the said Vijay. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction be issued to the respondents not to harass the petitioner as he is not guilty of any offence.

Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that in respect of the said fact, petitioner has already raised the grievance before respondent No.3 by filing a representation dated 21.08.2021 (Annexure P-2), which is still pending consideration with the said authority and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.3 to decide the representation dated 21.08.2021 (Annexure P-2) by passing an appropriate speaking order. Notice of motion.

Mr. Gaurav Bansal, Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition accepts notice on behalf of respondents-State.

Learned State counsel raises no objection with regard to prayer of the petitioner for deciding the representation dated 21.08.2021 (Annexure P-2) by respondent No.3 in a time bound manner by passing an appropriate speaking order.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner in representation dated 21.08.2021 (Annexure P-2), respondent No.3 is directed to decide the representation dated 21.08.2021 (Annexure P-2) by passing a speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of

-3receipt of a copy of this order.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
