(ORAL) Present petition has been filed with the allegation that the wife of the petitioner, namely, Renuka, is being detained illegally and is being kept by respondents No.5 and 6 against her wishes. The prayer is for getting the detenue released from the illegal custody of respondents No.5 and 6.

This Court had requested learned State counsel to enquire about the well being of the alleged detenue and this Court appreciates the efforts of the learned State counsel that this Court was able to communicate with the alleged detenue through a video conferencing, wherein, Renuka has stated that she is living with her parents as per her NARESH KUMAR 2021.08.27 16:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-8174-2021 -2own will and there is no coercion and she is not being detained illegally and she wants to continue to stay with her parents as of now. The said statement of Renuka was witnesses by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well and after the said statement of the alleged detenue, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not press this writ petition any further and the same may be disposed of as such.

Ordered accordingly.

Constable Pushpa, who is posted at Police Station Nathusari Chopta, District Sirsa, is requested to check the well being of Ms. Renuka at least once in a week for the next four weeks so as to ensure her safety. If police feels apprehension about the safety of Renuka in any manner, they will be free to take appropriate action so as to ensure her safety. .
