Petitioners Gurvinder Kaur and Nirmal Sidhu @ Bunty have come up in this civil writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioners as they apprehends danger at the hands of respondents Nos. 5 and 6.

CWP No. 15839 of 2020 (O&M) -2After hearing learned counsel for the parties and perusing the records, the present petition stands disposed of with the directions to the official respondents to ensure due protection of life and personal liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents no. 5 and 6 and to act on their representation/complaint Annexure P/5 fully in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that this will not come in the way of the official respondents for initiating any legal proceedings against the petitioners in accordance with the law.
The petition stands disposed off.
