Mehma Singh And ORS. v. Financial Commissioner Punjab And ORS
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CWP No.13771 of 2016 Date of decision:21.02.2017 Mehma Singh and others ... Petitioners Vs.
Financial Commissioner, Punjab and others ... Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMIT RAWAL Present:- Mr. Surjit Singh Swaich, Advocate for the petitioners.
Mr. S.S.Rangi, Advocate for the caveator/respondent No.5.
AMIT RAWAL J. (Oral) The present writ petition pertains to sanction of mutation. It is settled law that mutation cannot be kept in abeyance. Once the respondents are owners, the reflection of the ownership has to be recorded in the mutation, therefore, the orders effecting the mutation in favour of the private respondents are perfectly legal and justified, much less do not call for interference.
Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. (AMIT RAWAL) JUDGE February 21, 2017 savita Whether Speaking/Reasoned Yes/No Whether Reportable Yes/No Savita 2017.02.22 10:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh
