HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J In the instant writ petition filed under Section 438 read with Section 482 Cr.P.C, prayer is for grant of pre-arrest/Blanket bail to the petitioners in complaint lodged at the behest of the local leaders of Congress party of Bathinda Constitutency in district Bathinda and District Mansa. It is stated that the petitioners were active workers of Congress party for last 25 years and had close relations with the senior political leaders of the Congress party. During the said period, petitioner No.2 remained as President of Truck Union, Gidderbaha whereas petitioner Nos.1 & 3 were working as Secretary and Trasurer respectively of the said Truck Union.
Grievance of the petitioners is that on account of their participation in the protest of the recent Farmers' Bill, 2020, the police are running after them to implicate in some false case apart from harassing and humiliating them by conducting raids at their houses under the influence of the senior leaders of the ruling party.
