*** LISA GILL, J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for a direction to the respondents to release all dues i.e. retiral/service benefits of deceased Baljinder Singh (retired Patwari) to the petitioner who is his widow. It is submitted that husband of the petitioner retired on 31.07.2020 from the post of Revenue Patwari after attaining the age of superannuation and unfortunately, passed away on 17.07.2021. It is further submitted that petitioner has been mentioned as nominee of Baljinder Singh (since deceased) in his service record. The petitioner approached respondent No. 2, for release of family pension and other retrial benefits, but no action has been taken till date. In this respect, legal notice dated 21.05.2022 (Annexure P-2) has also been submitted by the petitioner but to no avail. Pursuant thereto, letter dated 22.06.

2022 Annexure P-3 was shot off from the Revenue and Development Department to the Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar to take necessary action but till date benefits due to the petitioner have not been released !"# #

++%''+ Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed, facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits thereof, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority, to decide legal notice dated 21.05.2022 (Annexure P-2) by passing a speaking order, within three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case, petitioner is found entitled to any monetary benefits, same be released within two months thereafter.
