Petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ in the nature of ceritirari for quashing the impugned orders dated 16.05.2014 and 27.06.2014, whereby the petitioner has been posted/transferred out by granting unilateral extension in service beyond the due date of superannuation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that this petition has been rendered infructuous as petitioner has since superannuated on 29.02.2016.
