Prayer made in both the petitions is for directing the respondent to rectify the anomaly in the pay scale of the petitioners viz.-a-viz. the Clerk/Restorer working in the Civil Secretariat Punjab, Chandigarh with effect from 01.12.2011 on the premise that they are also governed by the Punjab Civil Services Rules and in whose cases the four cases were decided by this Court on 24.05.2018 with lead case being CWP-4456 of 2016, titled Kanta Kumari and others versus State of Punjab and another as also Anuj Kumar Sharma and another versus State of Punjab, whereby three cases were decided with lead case being CWP-18466 of 2014, decided on 26.04.2017. Learned State counsel, on instructions, stated that the respondents would not be averse to have a relook at the matter and decided afresh within a period of 04 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. 3.

The aforesaid satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioners. 4.

Both the petitions stand disposed of accordingly and if the petitioners are found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same may be passed after granting opportunity of hearing to him and shall contain reasons, whereupon they shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
