The grievance of the petitioner, as canvassed in the instant petition, stems from no decision yet being taken by the respondent(s) concerned upon the application dated 27.05.2024 (Annexure P-8) for temporary release of his father on parole, on account of medical exigency. Consequently, the petitioner seeks issuance of a mandamus upon the respondent(s) concerned to expeditiously make a decision on the parole application (Annexure P-8).

Considering the innocuous and bonafide prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to, without issuing notice, direct the respondent No.4 to, within a week from receipt of a certified copy of this order, make a final decision upon the parole application (Annexure P-8) and also communicate the same to the petitioner. 3.

Disposed of accordingly.
