CWP No.21235 of 2012 [2] outcome of those proceedings, they were ordered to be evicted under Section 7 of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961. 2.

This Court vide order dated 19.10.2012 and 20.01.2015 directed to maintain status-quo subject to petitioners' depositing ` 10,000/- per acre as user charges. Petitioners deposited a sum of ` 1 lac and consequently, status-quo order remained operative. 3.

It is pointed out by learned counsel for the petitioners that the First Appellate Court has since dismissed their appeals. The instant writ petition, therefore, has become infructuous and is disposed of accordingly with liberty to the petitioners to avail the remedy as may be available in law.
