Through the instant petition under Section 438 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the appellant seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.20 dated 28.04.2023, registered under Sections 406, 498-A of IPC at Police Station Women Cell, District Amritsar. 2.

As per report which has been received from the Mediation & Conciliation Centre, the parties have settled their dispute by way of an amicable settlement/agreement. The statement/agreement has been reduced in writing and has been annexed with this report. In pursuance of the terms of this settlement, learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over a demand draft of a sum of Rs.2 lacs to learned counsel for respondent No.2. 3.

Vide order dated 14.06.2023 passed by this Court, the appellant was released on interim bail and was directed to join investigation. 4.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Onkar Singh, states that the appellant has joined the investigation and he is not required HIMANSHU 2023.12.06 18:24 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.

In view of the said facts, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 14.06.2023 granting interim bail to the appellant is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
