The appeal is for enhancement of compensation for injuries suffered by a Mason that resulted in fracture of shaft femur. The Tribunal provided `10,000/- for loss of income, `10,000/- towards medical expenses, `10,000/- for pain and suffering and `20,000/- for disability assessed at 8%. The counsel argues that for a Mason the fracture of the shaft femur casting 8% disability, the assessment was grossly low.

I will find no serious error in the assessment already made but however considering the fact that he was a Mason and the disability could have resulted loss of income for at least about 5 or 6 months, I will allow for additional amount of `7500/- as the compensation. This amount shall also attract interest @7.5% from the date of petition till PANKAJ KUMAR 2016.03.15 11:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
