After hearing counsel for the petitioner, I am of the considered opinion that it is a case where respondent No.2 has been granted insurance amount after he actually met with an accident. Counsel for the petitioner has vehemently challenged the quantum of compensation determined by the Permanent Lok Adalat, Rohtak claiming that the observations of the Permanent Lok Adalat are beyond the scope of its jurisdiction.

I have heard counsel for the petitioner. In view of the fact that the medical expenses have been included along with a sum of Rs.8200/- on account of injuries and the liability of the insurance company on behalf of the employer, it being a beneficial legislation, no interference is deemed appropriate in the present case.

The petition is dismissed. However, it is held that the case of respondent No.2 will not be treated as precedent for similar incidents and the cases, if any, would be determined on the basis of their own merits and legal position.
