The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: 'It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that the petition may kindly be allowed and a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus may be issued for the release of detenue Gurkiranpreet Kaur d/o Ranjit Kaur (petitioner), who has been kept in illegal custody by respondent no.4 to 14, in the interest of justice. And for appointment of warrant officer to search the residence of respondents no.4 to 14 or any other place pointed out by the petitioner and to get the detenue released from the illegal custody of respondents no.4 to 14.'

Learned State counsel has filed status report by way of affidavit of Aditya, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, District Gurdaspur dated 3.12.2025 in Court today. The same be kept on record. CRWP No.5313 of 2025 -2- '10. That in order to further expediate search of petitioner's daughter and Harbej Singh teams of CIA staff and special sources are deputed to get some clue/Location about whereabouts of Harbhej Singh. Further, the detenue namely Gurkiranpreet Kaur, has been found upon search by the Police and statement u/s 164 CrPC has been recorded on LIC 02.12.2025 before JMIC, Gurdaspur. Now, she has been sent to the Nari Niketan, Jalandhar.'

Having perused the said reply, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition at this stage. 4.
