Prayer in this petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.259 dated 06.12.2022 registered under Sections 21 and 29 of NDPS Act, at Police Station Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur.

This Court vide order dated 15.06.2023 had directed the petitioner to join investigation on or before 22.06.2023. However, on the last date of hearing i.e. 23.08.2023, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Manjit Singh had submitted that she had not joined investigation. Thus the case was adjourned to today, as there was even no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Manjit Singh submits that petitioner has still not joined investigation. 4.

In view of the fact that the petitioner has not joined the investigation as directed by this Court despite grant of sufficient opportunities, which shows that she has scant regard to the orders and also none had appeared on her behalf on 23.08.2023 as well as today. 5.
