Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the payment of the work done by the petitioner, regarding which legal notice dated 12.2.2017 (Annexure P-2) has already been sent to respondent No.4Executive Engineer, Canal Lining Arrear Division, Tarn Taran. Notice of motion. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Ms. Anu Pal, AAG, Punjab. Copy given. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction that respondent No.4 shall consider the claim of the petitioner submitted vide legal notice (Annexure P-2) by passing a speaking order within a period of two months after receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case the petitioner is held entitled to the release of his dues, the needful be done expeditiously.
