(ORAL) The petitioners' short grievance, is that in view of medical problems faced by the Joint Development Commissioner, Punjab, exercising the power of Commissioner, under the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961, neither their appeal nor their application for stay, is being taken up for consideration. As we have already been informed, in another case, that a new officer is likely to take charge, the writ petition is disposed of by directing that the application for stay be decided, within a fortnight from the next date of hearing and during this period, parties shall maintain status quo with respect to possession.
