(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect his life and liberty as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.6 to 8. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has been attacked twice by the respondents i.e. firstly on 8.11.2020 regarding which FIR No. 200, dated 21.11.2020, Police Station Shimlapuri, under Sections 323, 324, 506, 148, 149 IPC, came to be lodged and again on 7.12.2020 and in respect of which FIR No.177 dated 7.12.2020, Police Station Model Town, Ludhiana, under Sections 323, 338, 506 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act, came to be lodged.

It has been submitted that respondents No.6 to 8 are all out to cause harm to the petitioner and although the petitioner has submitted MOHAN SINGH 2021.08.31 18:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRWP-8226-2021 (O&M) representations dated 21.12.2020 and 13.8.2021 (Annexure P-4) but to no avail.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting anything as regards the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to get the representations Annexure P-4 examined as regards the alleged threat perception of the petitioner so that the same is disposed of in accordance with law at the earliest. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner. A copy of this order along with copy of representations Annexure P-4 be sent to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana be conveyed to him for necessary compliance.
