The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the notification dated 6.7.2017, Annexure P-10, and revised Common Seniority List circulated on that basis, dated 21.9.2020, Annexure P-21, for the posts of Clerks, Steno-Typists, Assistants, Legal Assistants and Accountants, etc.

Learned counsel for the University by referring to the written statement, dated 7.7.2022, filed on its behalf submits that as per minutes of the Executive Council meeting, dated 3.8.2021, the grievances raised by the petitioners have been redressed as it has been decided that the aforesaid cadres will not be merged. Learned counsel for the petitioners does not dispute the facts aforestated, he however submits that the petitioners may be given liberty to challenge the separate seniority list(s) in case they are aggrieved by the same.

In view thereof, the petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous granting liberty to the petitioners to challenge the separate seniority list(s) issued during pendency of the petition, in case they are so advised.
