(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking quashing of order dated 22nd April, 2016 (Annexure P-8), vide which a contract was awarded to respondent No.3 for the work of sweeping/cleaning and lifting garbage from the city Fatehgarh Churian and the contract has commenced from 16th February, 2016 to 15th February, 2017.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the petition, we find that about half of the period of contract has already gone by and the ground on which the same has been sought to be challenged is that the offer of the petitioner was better than respondent No.4. 3.

At the outset, on a query by the Court as to why the petitioner did not approach the Court earlier and had allowed half of the time of the contract to lapse, no satisfactory explanation could be furnished by him. Thus, we do not find justification to interfere at this stage in the writ jurisdiction. 4.

Dismissed.
