CWP 14056/2016

IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH Date of decision:09/08/2016 Narati Devi ............Petitioner vs State of Punjab and others .............Respondents CORAM:- HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.KS Hissowal,Advocate for the petitioner.

Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner is seeking a writ of mandamus for regularization of her services with all consequential monetary benefits. It is claimed that she was working as a part time Sweepress since 1.2.1984 in various schools i.e. Elementary as well Secondary Schools in District Patiala. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the light of petitioner having worked on part time basis since the year 1984 she is entitled for regularization of her services as part time Sweepress. After hearing learned counsel no case for invoking writ jurisdiction is made out.

Concededly the petitioner is no longer working on part time basis w.e.f. 1.6.2009 on attaining the age of 60 years. As regards the consideration of her case for regularization on account of having worked on part time basis for a long period, it was for the petitioner to rake up the issue at a prior point of time in terms of 1999 policy, which has not even been annexed with the present petition.

Now after a delay of 17 years since the alleged policy of 1999 and 7 years after she had stopped working on part time basis, no case for interference is made out.

Dismissed.
