The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.92 dated 6.6.2020 at Police Station City-I, Malerkotla, District Sangrur under Sections 353, 186 and 506 of Indian Penal Code, Section 3 of Epidemic Disease Act, 1987 and Section 51 of Disaster Management Act, 2005.

The allegations as per the FIR are that when the complainant Halim Akhtar, an employee of Civil Hospital, Malerkotla, went to the house of Balwant Kaur, Asha Worker, who had been found to be COVID+ve so as to know MOHAN SINGH 2021.01.19 17:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRM-M-30422-2020 (O&M) about her well being and her medical status, then her husband Bhupinder Singh misbehaved with them and also abused them and consequently they had to return back without performing the duty. 3.

The learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Harbhajan Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court, the petitioner has since joined investigation and that his custodial interrogation is not required.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 30.9.2020 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
