The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the action of the respondents to replace the petitioners by new similarly situated employees and further direction be issued that they be allowed to continue till the posts are being filled up on regular basis.

Learned Senior counsel submits that since the petitioners have been relieved from their posts, as such nothing survives in the present petition and the same may be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. 3.
