The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for quashing order dated 27.10.2017 issued vide endorsement dated 03.11.2017 (Annexure P-4) whereby the petitioner has been removed from service treating him as deemed to have resigned w.e.f. 05.06.2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the conviction of the petitioner was upheld by the High Court but he is still entitled to GPF and GIS. In this regard, he has referred to para No. 14 of the reply dated 02.03.2022, wherein it has been specifically stated that the process to release the dues of the same, has started and will be cleared immediately. However, till date, the petitioner has not received any amount. He prays that a time bound direction be given to the respondents in this regard. Learned State counsel, on instructions from Ms. Baljinder Kaur, Sr. Asstt., E3, B, Branch, DHS office, Punjab, submits that the GPF and GIS dues will be paid to the petitioner, within a period of two months. 4.

This satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioner, who submits that the present petition may be disposed of as such. 5.
