The petitioner is seeking quashing of order of proclamation dated 19.03.2025 (Annexure P-6) passed by learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Budhlada whereby the petitioner has been declared as a proclaimed person in case bearing FIR No.118 dated 13.05.2022 under Sections 61, 78(2) of Punjab Excise Act, 1914 registered at Police Station City Budhlada, District Mansa. 2.

Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State 4.
Learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has been involved in 13 other cases, however, after the registration of the present FIR, he is involved in 01 more case which is under the NDPS Act, 1985. 5.
In view of statement made on behalf of learned counsel for the State and also keeping in view the conduct of the petitioner, no ground is made out to interfere in the impugned order dated 19.03.2025 and the present petition is hereby, dismissed.

However, the petitioner is directed to appear and surrender before the trial Court concerned within a period of 07 days from today and may file bail application before the concerned Court. In case, he does so, the same be considered by the trial Court concerned, in accordance with law, within a period of 03 days.
