[1] Due to COVID-19 situation, the Court is convened through video conference.

[2] This petition in the nature of Habeas Corpus is filed for release of illegally detained five detenues namely (i) Sampurnanad, (ii) Deepak Kumar, (iii) Sujit Kumar, (iv) Anoop Tiwari and (v) Arun Kumar.

[3] Notice of motion was issued on 27th August, 2021. [4] Today, Mr. H.S. Multani, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab submits that the detenues have been arrested in F.I.R. No. 155, dated 25th August, 2021 under Sections 353, 186, 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Sahnewal, District Ludhiana.

CRWP-8216-2021 -2- [5] In view of statement made by learned State counsel no further directions are called for in the present petition. [6] The petition is disposed of.

[7] It is clarified that petitioner and detenues shall be at liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law for redressal of their grievances, if any.
