Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the petitioners pay scale of Rs.5910420200+1900 GP w.e.f. 01.10.2009 and corresponding revised pay scale, on account of revision of pay scale, as admissible to the post of Tailor with all consequential benefits. At the outset, instead of pressing the petition on merits, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be satisfied in case legal notice dated 06.02.2020 (P48) is decided by the competent authority, expeditiously.

Ms. Simran Grewal, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and she is not averse for the innocuous prayer made by the petitioners.

In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the present petition with a direction to respondent No.24 Director General of Police, Punjab, to consider and decide legal notice dated 06.02.2020, if the same is pending, by passing speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks' from today.
Ordered accordingly.
