(ORAL) This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for releasing the detenue from the alleged illegal custody of respondents No.4 and 5 and to direct respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner as well as the detenue.

Reply dated 27.06.2023 by way of affidavit of Arshdeep Singh, H.P.S., Deputy Superintendent of Police, Naraingarh on behalf of respondents No.2 and 3/State of Haryana is filed by the learned State counsel in Court today and the same is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Copy thereof, is supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner in Court today itself.

Learned State counsel while referring to Annexure R-1 has stated that the statement of Manu d/o Raju has been recorded, wherein she has stated that she does not want to be with Gorav (petitioner) and she wants divorce from him.

In view of the above statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner prays that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition.
