The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 6 and also for directing the respondent Nos.4 to 6 not to interfere in the same. 2.

Learned counsel contends that the petitioner, who is 22 years old, wants to pursue her studies in India, however, respondent Nos.4 to 6 being her parents and brother, are compelling her to get married to an NRI boy, with whom she can take divorce after reaching abroad as has been averred in para 6 of the petition. Presently, the petitioner is residing with her friends, who are also being harassed by respondent Nos.4 to 6.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide her representation dated 10.06.2023, Annexure P-1 submitted by her. The receipt of the said representation is annexed as Annexure P-2 4.
