(ORAL) This writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the notification dated 24.04.2015 (Annexure P-2) constituting a new Gram Sabha in the name of Surjit Nagar and notice of election dated 11.07.2016 (Annexure P-4) for holding the election of Gram Panchayat, Surjit Nagar.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be allowed to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the concerned authority at the first instance by filing a representation raising the grievance as raised in the writ petition. It was submitted that time-bound direction may be issued to decide the same.
