(ORAL) After arguing for some time, counsel for the petitioner states that he be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to approach the appropriate authorities under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 for the grant of interest on the delayed release of the gratuity amount to the petitioner as he had retired in October, 2006, whereas the amount of gratuity was released to him in July, 2012, which makes him entitle for interest under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. Dismissed as withdrawn, with the liberty as prayed for. Apprehension of the petitioner that his claim under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 might be declined as time barred is only an apprehension as petitioner was pursuing this writ petition.
